  • Manage & Coordinate all marketing, Advertising and promotional activities for the organization.
  • Conduct market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products
  • Analysis of customer research, current market conditions and competitor information.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans and projects for new and existing products.
  • Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities. Following up new business opportunities and setting up meetings.
  • Proactively develops and improve products and services by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements.
  • Manage the productivity of the marketing plans and projects. monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results.
  • Determine and manage the marketing budget. Deliver marketing activity within agreed budget.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategy.
  • Liaison with media and advertising for marketing activities including trade/ scientific shows, mailings, etc.
Skills & Experience
  • Overall 6+ years’ experience in Marketing for an IT Solutions organization.
  • Qualifications: Business or marketing-related degree or equivalent professional qualification
  • Experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing strategies and proven experience in customer & marketing research.
  • Requisite IT knowledge especially in ERP based IT solutions.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written, and both technical and non- technical, and the ability to work with a diverse group of individuals in a professional and service-oriented manner

We are pleased to announce the following vacancy in the Regional Operations Department within the Technology Division.
In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below: Senior 3G Radio Planning Engineer 

Ref:
TECHNOLOGY_S3GRPE_SEP_2012 Reporting to the Senior manager, RAN Optimization, the holder of the position will manage and coordinate 3G network projects; 3G Network Capacity Provision, Nominal Cell Planning and documentation and Monitor 3G KPI’s /3G Radio network optimisation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • 3G project Management and coordination;
  • 3G Radio Network Capacity Planning;
  • New 3G sites planning, surveys, parameters design and release of accurate nominal plans, redesigns and integration parameters;
  • 3G Network Optimization;
  • 3G Site database update and parameter standardization;
  • Prioritize customer complains and provide a solution/ recommendation within the agreed time frame;
  • Identification of Potential bottlenecks in the 3G end to end network and escalate to Core PS related concerns.
Minimum requirements:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Science, with an emphasis in Radio communications;
  • 3 years experience in telecommunication with 1 years minimum in UMTS hands–on experience in Radio Network planning;
  • Practical knowledge on use of radio planning tool and nominal cell planning;
  • Candidates with experience in Siemens or Huawei 3G equipment will have an added advantage;
  • Practical knowledge of 2G, 2.5G network a must;
  • Knowledge in tele-traffic Engineering will be an added advantage.

Terre des hommes Foundation (Tdh) is an international NGO focussed on Child Rights.
To support the development of its Child Protection programme in Garissa County, Tdh is encouraging applications from Kenyan nationals for the role of:

Child Protection Project Manager
(1 position) Reporting to: Child Protection Programme Manager
Duty station: Dadaab, Garissa County
Contract duration: 12 months (with 3-month probation period)
Main responsibilities:
  • To be responsible, under the supervision of the Child Protection Programme Manager, for all aspects of the implementation of the Child Protection project in Dadaab refugee complex.
  • To manage, mentor and train a team of CP professionals and community workers.
  • To coordinate with the project psychosocial counsellor to ensure regular assessment of project needs and adequate follow up of extremely vulnerable cases.
  • To develop collaboration and participate in coordination with the local authorities such as the District Children Officer, other partners and services in order to establish a proper child protection referral system.
Requirements:
  • Minimum university degree in related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in projects supporting children (social work, child protection, psychosocial, education, etc.).
  • Experience working in a refugee context and knowledge of BID is a plus.
  • Team management experience (10-20 subordinates).
  • Project reporting and evaluation experience.
  • Fluency in English and Kiswahili. Ability to communicate in Somali is a plus.
